Now as we move on from the big league I want to present the future stars of the international clubs. Some of you maybe did not know but like I said earlier there is another version of Champions League but it is only designed for young players. This year the group stage was played from 15 September to 9 December 2015. A total of 32 teams competed in the UEFA Champions League Path (group stage) to decide 16 of the 24 places in the knockout phase of the 2015-2016 UEFA Youth League.
The youth teams of the 32 clubs which qualified for the 2015–16 UEFA Champions League group stage entered the UEFA Champions League Path. The 32 teams were drawn into eight groups of four. There was no separate drawheld, with the group compositions identical to the draw for the 2015–16 UEFA Champions League group stage, which was held 27 August 2015, 17:45 CEST, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. In each group, teams played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. The eight group winners advanced to the round of 16, while the eight runners-up advanced to the play-offs, where they were joined by the eight second round winners from the Domestic Champions Path (you can see the teams and knock off rounds by clicking the title). The matchdays were 15–16 September, 29–30 September, 20–21 October, 3–4 November, 24–25 November, and 8–9 December 2015. Times up to 24 October 2015 (matchdays 1–3) were CEST (UTC+2), thereafter (matchdays 4–6) times were CET (UTC+1). Here are the results for each group stage:
Group A
Group B
Group C
Group D
Group E
Group F
Group G
Group H
For the play-offs, the 16 teams were drawn into eight ties played over one match. The draw was held on 14 December 2015. The eight second round winners from the Domestic Champions Path were drawn against the eight group runners-up from the UEFA Champions League Path, with the teams from the Domestic Champions Path hosting the match. Teams from the same association could not be drawn against each other.
The eight play-off winners advance to the round of 16, where they are joined by the eight group winners from the UEFA Champions League Path.
If the scores are level after full-time, the match is decided by a penalty shoot-out (no extra time is played).
The play-off matches will be played on 9 and 10 February 2016.
The teams from Domestic Champions Path are: Villareal, Middlesbrough, Schalke 04, Torino, Stade de Reims, Spartak Moscow, Ajax , Anderlecht , Besiktas, Servette , Red Bull Salzburg, Pribram, Viitorul Constanta, APOEL, Midtjyland, Legia Warsaw, Minsk, Celtic, Elfsborg, Litex Lovech, Brann, Rad, Puskas Akademia, Domzale, Senica, Zimbru Chisinau, Ravan Baku, Saburtalo Tbilisi, Aktobe, Zeljeznicar, HJK, Stjrnan.
